Short biography
Shun debuted on the small screen when he was 13 with his role in Hitsuji no Uta ,but he gained more popularity with the role Uchiyama Haruhiko' aka "Uchi" in the hit drama Gokusen back in 2002.His breakthrough role as 'Hanazawa Rui' in the hugely popular drama Hana Yori Dango and he rose him to prominence in 2005.
he gained even more attention with his role as 'Sano Izumi' in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e in 2007. Shun also had his first major leading role as the amazing 'Kudo Shinichi' in the Detective Conan live action movies.
He is also a seiyu (basic japanese term for 'voice actor') and has provided voice overs for anime.He has also starred in several stage plays with the help of his theatrical roots. I am a great fan of his stage performances.
They display his talent,in his stage plays: Titus Andronicus,Caligula,As you like it his acting skills are best shown.
Lately he returned to the stage with the adaptation of Kubrik's Clockwork orange.
He is also a dj,gaining the nickname Shunkerbelle with his radio show.
He admits often that he prefers to play supporting roles on screen,but he loves to take leading roles on stage.

I can go on like that,but thatway my post will go on forever.Awesome actor.He is not the quintesential pretty boy,but he made it trough with his acting talent.If you know him only as Hanazawa Rui or Sano Izumi,I highly recommend his more '''serious'' and less popular projects.

News about Shun:Yakusho Koji and Oguri Shun to star in movie, “Kitsutsuki to Ame”,the realise is expected later this year.Also his upcoming movie,Uchuu Kyoudai (manga adaptation) is to be released in 2012.
