HI! First thanks for this drama i really love it (and I hope that soon will be finished, I really can't wait but I understand that you are working all alone and it's not simple!). I was reading the posts... and I want to ask you a few questions... what's the machine do you use to first translate the subs? And what is it "Area11"? Sorry i f I mess... but I am a translator English/Italian for a fansub forum for dramas and you know... if we feel the smell of newness or something that can help us in our work we never pull back
Area11 is a Chinese website that posts Chinese subtitles. We have an arrangement with them where we use their subtitles for translation. Our English subtitles are also posted on their site, so it's mutually beneficial.
As for the machine translations that are used here, it's DarkSmurf's brainchild, so he would be best to answer. The basic way the translation works is that it tries to match strings (a sequence of characters) up with known translations. Longer strings are given more weight in the final translation. This method works well enough for Chinese to English translations. I'm not sure how well it will work for other languages. Users can add strings to the database to improve the translations. If you're interested, you might want to contact DS for more information

Hopefully more people will help Milkyway to translate. It's a lot for one person. I can help, but only with English editing as I am not a speaker of Korean.

Yes, this is a great show (based on the first 2 episodes). It's funny and the male lead is hilarious like a younger version of the character from "He who cannot be married".

Englishprofv,
Thanks for your comments on the lines! When I translate, I tend to miss out on some of the English editing (after all, I am a translator hehe). Sometimes, it is because I couldn't think of a better way to phrase the line (after long hours of working on lines), so I would just leave it for an editor to come and fix it up. I appreciate your comments on the English editing, and I'll use your suggested lines if it does not distort the original translation. There are a few (barely) times when it will be a different meaning if I do not use certain words. Again, thanks for your help on this

I just saw the first episode, and it looks good I guess.,
Thank you for those who are subbing this drama! It doesn't seem too popular so I'm at least happy there's a group who sub it ^.^

It's the first one I'm watching again after City Hunter. It's been a while.
Keep up the good work, and you are appreciated!
