Hello all, I'd like to post the contents here under "ariesjoe's creations", but since what I'm about to post here are mostly involved with music and music alone, I shall post them under a different topic.

So, anyway, this post is all about my musical creations, or "mashups" as I'd love to refer to them as. When I have time to spare, I would spend time trying to combine two or more songs into one and make them fun and nice to listen to.

For my older videos, kindly visit my Youtube page. And oh, there is one non-mashup video where I sang. Oopsie!

Okay, so under my first post, I shall present to you my latest mashup between Dalmatian's "E.R", SISTAR's "Alone" and Big Bang's "Monster". I was really disappointed when youtube kept blocking my video due to copyright issues, but good thing I found vimeo as my last resort.

Hi all,

There was no internet at home last night and so I decided to work on Wonder Girls' "Girlfriend", but from the boy's perspective. As I listened to that song, I kept wondering, "What if I turn the story around and have it as the girl cheating on the guy instead?" After much thinking (and procrastination), I've decided to finally pen it down.

I have actually wanted to post it in my DSS blog, but due to some technical errors, I had to post it somewhere else. And then I remembered that I had a topic in the "Self Expression" forum. I have finally decided to post it here after I was in a dilemma of posting it here or under "Poetry/Writing". I realized that I don't do poetry often, and so it's better for me to post it here. hahaha~

Okay, I realize that I talk too often, so let's get down to business, shall we? :3

So what do you think? It took me about 2 hours to complete writing... I had to replay some parts of the song repetitively in order to fill in the words comfortably. I focused on fitting the words in and so I have neglected the rhymes. I've tried to rhyme as much as possible. hehehe.

Do let me know what you think, yes? And if some of the words can be changed for more lyrical ones. x)

I meant to comment on the weekend, but was too sick to do anything haha.
As usual, I am very proud of my dongsaeng!! Great song, awesome vocals, nice vibrato, etc.

I noticed that you don't seem as comfortable in falsetto as you do in your natural register, which is normal, and you handled it very well! Another thing I picked up is that it seemed like you couldn't belt out the notes? Combined with the echo, I'm guessing you recorded in the bathroom again? Did you lol? Ahhhhhh, my dongsaeng would sound so amazing in a studio!! ♥ Soon, soon!!

I... err... used to sing 90% of all songs in my falsetto and it kinda made me a little self-conscious because back then, my natural voice isn't as strong or powerful when compared with my falsetto. The people around me always teased me for singing in a girl's voice and that got me to think, "I'm so gonna fail..."

hahaha! You noticed that, didn't you? Well, as mentioned in the video, I just woke up from a nap and I sang it four times in a row (and all of them don't sound good, to be honest). And yes, I sang it in the bathroom again! HAHA! Another reason for my shakiness is that, my dad is still awake and he was walking around and so I couldn't sing too loud or too powerful... There was actually one time when I had just started singing and he knocked on the door. OMG! HAHAHAHA!

Oh well, frankly speaking, I was having doubts as to if I would be able to step up my game in the recording studio... I mean, there will be professionals around and they will not give you face and they'll just criticize you like there's no tomorrow. (and that is kinda freaky) D:

Awwww. Just remember that there's a huge difference between teasing and constructive critism. One's not worth a penny, and the other is! Don't let other people bring you down. Use the negativity to make yourself stronger instead!

Meh, don't worry about professionals looking down on you - happens everywhere. They take the 'respect must be earned' thing a bit too far haha. Just be calm, relaxed and firm. Don't show fear, but do let them see your attentiveness and willingness to learn when they offer tips. That way, they know you mean business and aren't just there for fun, and they will take you more seriously because they know people like that will get places. Gooood luck!

Aww... yes you are so right with that. I really want to make them regret telling me that I couldn't sing, you know?

Oh well, he didn't care. Or so I think. The two of us aren't exactly that close. But I know he does care about me to some extent. And that's enough for me.

You see, the thing about my parents is that they're quite... conservative when it comes to showbiz. They keep watching the news of the vulgar acts of Asian celebrities (sex scandal, smoking pot, this and that...) and they've a reason to discourage me. But most of the times I think they've gone too far. LOL! xD

Yeah I noticed that the professionals want the same thing as what the singers want as well: to get things done. They criticize in order for us to step up the game and to finish recording as soon as possible and so they won't have to spend much time in an expensive recording studio. hahaha~

Aww~ I'm having a mild sorethroat as well... Blame it on the junk food I've been stuffing into my stomach over the past few days... hahahaha! I know~ I don't eat them too often... Just occasionally. x)

Omo ah, please get well soon enough! I don't wanna see my nuna sick!

And yes, if we can do a duet, why not? I'd like to experience how it feels to sing a song with someone else as well. should be fun.

Okay since my parents will be out tonight, I think I should sing the English version of "Girlfriend". *points at the lyrics up there* HAHA! Looking forward for that rap. xD

AJ-ah!! How have you been? Noona has been so busy lately, I haven't gotten around to requesting a progress report on your Wondergirls English cover yet looool! How's it going?

I don't listen to much Wondergirls, but I went and listened to that song thanks to you! xD Can't wait for the cover!

As for the lyrics, I really love them! The first verse started off a tad awkwardly, but then it really picked up. The choruses get better and better! I love love love the second verse and rap; you've really captured the angst haha, it's awesome!! Can't wait to hear you rap!
