A Gentleman's Dignity Episode 4 Recaps

INTRO
High school, they say is where you’ll find your friends for life. Four high school boys are gathered trying to determine which one of them should go. They decide to go together. Off to the teacher’s office they went—at the teacher’s office four boys are lined together and a teacher started asking questions. The teacher is trying to find out who among them suggested watching an adult movie. Jeong Rok stepped out of the line stating that he was the leader. Do Jin, Tae San and Yun followed suit confirming that Jeong Rok was indeed the one who suggested watching the movie. Jeong Rok then tries to run away from the teacher.
In high school, you’ll find that your friends for life are those whose loyalty is strong.

Now at home after having dinner, Tae San confronts Meari why Se Ra left without saying and eating anything, Meari lashed out on Tae San that he is the one to blame. Tae San tells Meari that Se Ra is the woman he likes and is older that Meari, she should be given due respect.
At the other restaurant and still waiting for her blind date, I Su and Do Jin continues their conversation.
Do Jin: I am going to start a one sided love affair.
I Su: With whom?
Do Jin: With you?
I Su: Which you... Me…
Do Jin: Don’t refuse.
I Su’s date arrives and Do Jin tells him that her first date is not yet done and as date number two he should reschedule. The blind date did not quite get what Do Jin was trying to say. Do Jin tells it should be commonsense. Do Jin then heaves I Su out of the restaurant. Outside, I Su tells Do Jin how she can believe someone who wants to stay single forever. She then tells Do Jin that she read the article from the architecture magazine. Do Jin inquired if he looked good on it, I Su replied that he had wrinkles. Do Jin teased her that she’s interest in him because she read the article thoroughly.
Tae San has been trying to reach Se Ra but of no avail. He goes out and waited for her at home. I Su arrive and noticed Tae San waiting at the gate. I Su tells Tae San that Se Ra might have gone drinking. They both said that they also needed some drinks and so they went. At the bar they talked about baseball and enjoying themselves. Tae San remembered the first time I Su umpired a game. He further tells her that a girl who is crazy about baseball is pretty. He also added an inquiry if I Su’s 20 seconds guy is Do Jin. I Su responded that it is not Do Jin but Do Jin knows who he is. Silence… then Tae San tells I Su he knows where Se Ra is. I Su tells him to go and wished him finding Se Ra there. Jeong Rok who stood at the far end of the room looks at them intently as if he heard everything.
Se Ra is at a golf club, practicing her swings. While taking a break she noticed a ball rolling towards her direction, she picks it up and turns it over; a cute face was drawn on it. She turns around and saw Tae San sitting on a bench. The club director then comes to interrupt Se Ra and Tae San. Tae San did not like the way the director touched Se Ra’s shoulders and confronts him. Se Ra compliments Tae San that he is really cool and sexy when he acts without thinking. Tae San then tells Se Ra not to pay attention to whatever Meari said. He also tells her that there are three lines on the palm of his hand. These three lines signifies the most important women in his life, his mom, Meari and Se Ra. Meari need to accept that Se Ra is the closest line to his heart. He then asks Se Ra what she wants as present for their first anniversary and it shouldn’t be something expensive like an accessory or jewelry.
Jeong Rok welcomes Do Jin to the bar, he then mentioned that Tae San was here with a girl who regularly goes to his café as well. Do Jin sees I Su who happen to be singing while drinking and is drunk. I Su glanced sideways and saw Do Jin. She got embarrassed and asked how he knew where she was. I Su then complain that if they did not meet tonight they’ll be meeting next season. Do Jin then sees a bottle and asks Jeong Rok if I Su drank it all by herself. Jeong Rok asks if Do Jin and I Su knew each other—he then tells Do Jin that it was I Su’s second bottle. Jeong Rok then thoughtfully looks at Do Jin and was surprised at his friend’s reaction.
I Su wakes up and find herself in a bed and while trying to get up she falls over. She looks for the door and cannot seem to find it. She then goes to grab a water and saw Do Jin behind which rendered her shocked. Do Jin asks her if she’s back to her senses now. I Su then covers herself asking if something happened. Do Jin tells her that he doesn’t take a woman to bed without her consent. I Su inquired why they ended up in a hotel since Do Jin knows where she lives. Do Jin tells her that it’s the only way after such an embarrassing farewell. I Su then remembered what happened earlier. She was walking down the street while singing and dancing at the same time. Do Jin asks her to stay still as he goes inside the store to buy her water. Before he can enter the door, I Su falls over the chair. Do Jin looks at I Su questioningly, she then tells him that she does not remember a thing and tries to leave. She then stops to ask for her purse.
Do Jin drove I Su home. To have his fun, he plays a joke on her—I Su is doing her best not to be found by neighbors that she was out all night with a man and Do Jin is also doing his best trying to keep I Su bending down to hide from by passers. I Su finally got into the house. At the same time Tae San is trying to leave their house after spending the night with Se Ra.
A new day at school, I Su gives a lesson on moral virtues. She then blanks out while trying to sort through events that occurred recently, it was a good thing that the bell rang. Kim Dong Yup, a well known delinquent was called by I Su to her office. As his homeroom teacher, she needs him to complete his university form. I Su asks Dong Yup why his form is blank.
Dong Yup: I want to be teacher’s husband or a government employee’s husband… why can’t I since I am not bad looking. Ah, teacher you shouldn’t blank out while in class.
Dong Yup leaves the office after giving I Su a drink.
Back at home Tae San is happily working on a design and goes searching for a book—he sees his high school yearbook. Flipping through the pages he found that Yun’s and his photos are missing. He then calls for Meari but she’s already out.
Meari meets with I Su, she wants to ask I Su’s opinion on the birthday present she wants to give Yun. Meari then gives I Su, Tae San’s high school photo. Meari also tells I Su that she is meticulously planning her approach towards Yun. First approach, Meari sues Tae San for coercing her to like Se Ra. Second approach, sues Hong Se Ra who is a nine tailed fox. Third approach, sues I Su for severely punishing her. Yun quickly dismissed the first and second approaches but accepted the third one by telling Meari that he charges $500 hourly. Meari tells Yun that she’s been harsh and bids him goodbye.
Later that day, Yun and Do Jin went for their car service appointment. Do Jin notices Yun’s good mood, asks him if something pleasant happened. Yoon keeps on giving Do Jin vague answers.
Do Jin: Why don’t you change your wheels to something similar to Betty’s, so when it’s raining. Where is Meari most pretty?
Yun: Her eyes, nose... You!!!
Now at home, I Su prepares food when Se Ra arrives and tells I Su that she owes her an apology for ditching the blind date she arranged for her. The doorbell then rang and before I Su can answer the door Se Ra asks her if she can borrow her weights. I Su tells Se Ra that their in her room, so Se Ra went into her room and looks under the bed. She finds the gloves I Su is hiding with number 836 embossed on it. She then goes out and find I Su with a box just delivered. The box contained a pair of gorgeous shoes that cost about $1,300. I Su thought that Do Jin’s present was too much for her. She calls him but he does not pick up. I Su then goes to Do Jin’s place and Do Jin opens the door. He tells I Su that shoes are meant to be worn and not carried. I Su then used the wrong words in trying say that she does not deserve such an expensive present from Do Jin. Do Jin then call’s Eun Jae and gives her the shoes. I Su was stunned at the fact that Do Jin is sharing his bed with another woman yet confessed to being in love with her. Do Jin bluntly tells her that he is a 41 year old man not a teenager. He further tells her that his building do have a paging system, next time I Su can just drop by the reception desk and need not to come up. I Su leaves Do Jin’s place with the mixed feeling of being sadness and disappointment.
Yun has decided to move back to his mother-in-law’s place. Yun’s mother-in-law calls Jeong Rok to persuade Yun to move on. After all it has been four years since his wife, Jeong Ah passed away. Yun is then taken to a different condominium by his close friends and after unpacking they went to do some shopping.
Min Suk prepares a bountiful and elaborate dinner. Jeong Rok inquires why there’s too much food, she tells him that she’s always hungry. Now seated, Jeong Rok is served with rice by his wife, he noticed his wedding ring inside it. To pacify Min Suk’s anger, Jeong Rok swallows the ring. Jeong Rok is then taken to the hospital. Do Jin, Tae San and Yun goes to visit him. They remind him that every time he takes his ring off he always gets caught. Jeong Rok asked them if his wedding ring is the lord of the rings. Yun tells Jeong Rok that the peace in his family is vital to the 70 employees at Hwa Dam Architecture and 20 employees in his law firm. The men then ask Jeong Rok to choose between a chamber pot and newspaper because they do need to find that ring.

Also that night, Colin is having dinner at a fast food restaurant and was browsing the web. He took the photo from his wallet and search their names, he found a match on Jeong Rok.
Colin: We both have similar taste. Is this guy…?

Se Ra is meeting a potential caddy when Meari saw her with a man and misunderstood. Embarrassed by what she did, Meari goes home and is met by Tae San at the doorway. She asks whom he would save first if she and Se Ra both fall into the water. The answers Tae San gave her did not help her at all, it actually irritated Meari some more.
While I Su tries to fall asleep, she is kept awake by what happened earlier. Her thoughts are on Do Jin and with that she ended up sleeping on the floor.
Morning soon came and I Su heads to the washroom to brush her teeth. She notices a strange man in the kitchen. She yells at him asking who he is and what he is doing in their house. Se Ra then comes out to introduce the man to I Su. I Su asks Se Ra what about Tae San. Se Ra tells I Su that the man is just a friend. Se Ra then receives a call from Tae San that he is sending Do Jin over to do an errand for him. Se Ra asks I Su if she can introduce her friend as hers instead when Do Jin arrives. Do Jin found out the truth when he over hears the conversation between I Su and Se Ra’s friend. I Su asks Do Jin not tell Tae San.
At the office, Tae San arrives and talk about a client’s reference. He then asks if Do Jin completed what he asks him to do at Se Ra’s house. Do Jin finished measuring the place. Tae San is renovating Se Ra’s kitchen as an anniversary present. Do Jin asks Tae San how does he sees I Su. Tae San responded that I Su is his younger sister’s teacher and Se Ra’s good friend. For short, to Tae San, I Su is a human not a woman.
Min Suk calls Yun, Tae San and Do Jin to see her. One by one they took out proposals claiming they are on Min Suk side, never will they help Jeong Rok again nor will fool Min Suk. They then talked about their building (rental) contracts.
Still at home, Meari does a crazy search in trying to find anything that Yun might have left behind and before long she finds a spoon. She calls Yun, asking him to meet her so she can return something very important. They met at a park near Yun’s new place and it turns out that the spoon is from a Chinese restaurant. Meari then asks Yun if she became pretty now that she lost weight. Yun used to tease her “chubby” back when he was tutoring her. Yun tells Meari that she looks the same, still chubby. Meari pouted at his comment. Yun then tousled her hair and heads back to his place.
Yun: Go home early because someone might kidnap you for being pretty.
A few days later…
Se Ra was invited by Tae San to watch their baseball game. I Su welcomed Se Ra’s company for she can ask her to watch her stuff as she officiate the game. Se Ra managed to spill the contents of I Su’s purse while holding it at an awkward angle. She then noticed Tae San’s photo inserted in I Su’s notebook.
On the field, Do Jin joins Se Ra on the stands. Se Ra is greeted by Tae San and noticed his uniform number 836. Do Jin became aware that Se Ra suddenly was deep in thought. Tae San approached the batter’s corner and greeted I Su. They both smiled at each other. Se Ra saw the exchange between them.
Se Ra: I think those two are well-matched.
Do Jin did not show that he was taken aback by Se Ra’s words, puts on a determined face, as if saying that you said it… but it’s not going to happen.
