    The ᄋ in the first syllable of 아버지 (father) is a place holder consonant marker, (it is silent and has no sound) and is called "ieung". It is placed before a vowel if a syllable starts with a vowel instead of a consonant 아 (a).

    A couple of months ago, I was in Korean and to be honest, I love that country. People are friendly and nice. I love their food. I'm trying to learn their language also and it's pretty hard.

    for me, it is so hard to pronounce, i can pick up bit and pieces of a word in a sentences, so many variation, need korean for dummies,lol
