What started out as a promising new drama has fizzled out into a stereotypical no brainer romantic comedy. The intriguing concept of a male nanny was overshadow by a weak romance storyline, in other words the male nanny concept was just the bait to lure you in then inundate you with archetypical and cliché characters. Kim Yi Han was the ultimate male nanny, the Korean male counterpart of Mary Poppins, armed with modern child psychology and Dr Seuss living in his head. The kids Oh Eun Bi and Oh Jung Min are typical children who through the stressful environment they were living in exhibited a wide range of psychological disorders, from depression to regression. The older sister Janice was the archetypical “iron” woman, successful, forceful, and brash yet hides an innocent and romantic heart. The real basket case of the story is the mother Seo Do Young. Portrayed as a divorcee, single mother raising two kids whilst juggling a career yet completely hopeless . She was the character that got to me the most and not in a good way. She was more childish then her own children, it’s no wonder she’s divorced! She is the character that completely turned me off the series and her romance with the many just exacerbated my annoyance. Now if you are after some eye candy then Janice’s modelling agency provides plenty of that. The male models were constantly shot in a state of undress, not to mention Kim Yi Han’s sexy shots. Apart from the eye candy...needless to say it was a waste of time, a waste of precious hard drive space. Rating: 4/10 <_<
